Autumn is back and I am not minding it one bit!

It is such a beautiful season as I feel I am walking in BEAUTY

and keep in mind, it hasn't shown its full glamor yet.
We can take AUTUMN purely as a visual motif of nature's beauty and generosity, don't you think !?

This is where I take our dog for a walk every morning

Yes, I love AUTUMN and everything in Fall appeals to me, especially the way the season unfolds in Canada.
Honest season!
"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness ...",
of maturing SUN,
crisp and sparkling days,
long pleasant evenings,
festivities
and
lots of cooking,
 and
   lots of
well, wine ...

Life shall be lived well.

Fall also means a time to take advantage of the sweetest fruits of the year.
And orchards understand that it's not just about the pie on your table, it's about being able to go out and handpick those apples, berries, and pumpkins before spending an afternoon turning them into the sweet dessert.
And as our family tradition commands, we headed out to the favorite farm to do just that.
What a FUN day it was!

This year we started with Pick -Your -Own Raspberries.

We ate... a LOT of juicy, red raspberries, fresh from the bush.

We brought home enough for pie and jam.

So what about a cup of tea with a freshly baked raspberry tea cake !?

I have to admit, I am not a big baker, but the recipe is simple and easy to prepare. It calls for a cup of milk. We were out of milk so I used the heavy cream instate, but no one seemed to care that the little cakes weren't perfect.
The tea is Toasted walnuts from one of my favorite store  Davids Tea.
The comforting, lightly bitter taste of toasted walnuts is blended perfectly with the sweet and sour raspberry cake. Sip it and enjoy it in the vintage English china.

I found these fine Staffordshire teacups a couple of years ago at an antique store and I like to use them during the fall season. The pattern is called "SUNDAY MORNING"– bold splashes of color bring life to a village on a bright Fall morning... I love to create a "story " behind the image any time I take a sip.

Enjoy the BLESSING of the AUTUMN, dear friends!
May you walk in BEAUTY and your eye wander through the world of light and COLOR!

  Take delight in
the
 simple pleasures of the season!
