August has a glow of its own.
Staring at the wide open harvested field, I feel quite nostalgic about the last days of Summer. At the same time, the golden light of the magic hours hugs my body and the tender wave of quietness makes me feel at my happy place. I own the world, or the world has me entirely...The quickly changing light of the setting sun creates a sense of eternity and completeness. The overall fuzzy feeling of warmth evokes a quick moment of happiness and awakening. I only sense my breath; everyone and everything, all the energy of the world comes into me. The earth becomes a sacred space, a safe place! My heart expands as a fully open sunflower and a soft golden light radiates throughout it. I catch the legato rhythm of the light and completely immerse in all its glory...
I hear the earth breathe ....
" I wonder if anyone else has an ear so tuned and sharpened as I have, to detect the music, not of the spheres, but of earth, subtleties of major and minor chord that the wind strikes upon the tree branches. Have you ever heard the earth breathe...?"
~ Kate Chopin
Beautiful!!! I love the sunflowers. Makes me want to take a drive in the country with my camera.

Sweet Sylvia, my dear!
ReplyDeleteWhen I opened up to the first image, it literally took my breath away! You are a master photographer and there is so much emotion in each shot! Yes, saying goodbye to summer is bittersweet; we are having slightly cooler weather than usual but it is still so beautiful and I am enjoying every single day. I see my dear friend and sister Irina was here!!!
Well my friend, I will be returning to school only as a substitute teacher and I look forward to the freedom it will allow me. I hope that the coming months will be wonderful for YOU!!!
Be well, Anita
What a beautiful post! Your pictures make me feel at peace. I feel as if I am right there on the fields feeling the breez on my skin. You also have a talent with words, and yes, saying goodbye to summer is difficult. I am trying to take advantage of the remaining weeks before heading back to work.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind me asking, where were the pictures taken?
Enjoy the rest of summer.
Maria~

Precious Sylvia,
ReplyDeleteYou, like my darling friend up above here, IRINA, are one of the most genuine and kindest souls. I just want to thank you for your KIND words on my new post. It is just nice to hear something positive about my new blog. Your photos here again are so stunning! Have you enjoyed your summer? I cannot believe it is waning so gently, soon it will be like the autumn sunset, going down, down, down, no longer to be seen until next year.
HAVE FUN! Anita
