Happy May, dear friends!
It seems hard to believe, but, yes, another month has passed. I haven't been here lately, not because I have nothing to say; quite the opposite, my mind has been a meeting point to lots and different thoughts, some of them positive, some of them not so much ...
Yesterday was one of those days that seems to start promising, but then you realize, you are an hour early for your photography class, while you are killing time you spill coffee on your pants and favorite scarf only to find out in the afternoon that you have to repeat your blood test ....
But
at the evening
the rain comes, drizzling at first, and quickly growing into an exhilarating downpour...
The next day,
the next morning is like a brand new episode of your life!
These sort of mornings after a spring shower
when you can only hear the silent...
when you can sense the fresh air hugging your shoulders,
with every step, you can feel the wet Earth beneath your feet as you are massaging her every time your foot touches the land,
when everything is covered with droplets sparkling in the tiny sun ray,
when the swan's gentle and confident floating mesmerizes you and reaches deep down inside of you to examine your personal balance and Grace,
when the water is still and you can see your reflection...
It's like the rain has washed your worries, your fears and your yesterday.
It's like the water has calmed your mind
and
you can see the true YOU!
Dear friends,
be in touch with what is wondrous, refreshing, and healing,
both inside and around yourself.
Thank you for your kindness, dear readers!

A serene and beautiful post. It has really struck a chord this morning, several things have conspired to raise stress levels recently, and I know stress has very little to do with "personal balance and grace". Your wonderful photos have reminded me to stop a while, calm my racing thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI hope whatever difficulties you have dear Sylvia will pass quickly and without too much pain.
Sending love and the very best of wishes from England.xx
Good morning most precious one!
ReplyDeleteI AM TOTALLY IN AGREEMENT about embracing all that is simple and beautiful. We need it for our souls indeed. Just yesterday, my husband was saying that right before he went out for work, he just stopped in our boxwood garden to look and take in all the green, before rushing off to the work place where stress is a given. I too long for just listening to the silence that can only be found when we stop long enough to take in the things around us that nature offers.
HAVE A WEEKEND FULL OF NATURE'S SILENCE!!!!!!! Anita
What lovely photos. So calm and beautiful :) I need to spend more time working on simplicity and appreciating these things. What a lovely post :)
ReplyDeleteSuch peace and tranquility you have captured, in words and pictures.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely, thank you - I needed that.
Have a blessed weekend.
Beautiful post, Sylvia...I always enjoy coming to your blog! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Oh dearest heart,
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU FOR VISITING! I am having problems with my photos and I feel so badly! I just do not like putting anything on my blog that is a turn off, but I just wanted people to know I am here and will be back as soon as I get my photos in! But thank you for visiting my other post. Yes, teaching is a profession that takes a lot of HEART and courage and to see former students come back to you is a joy. I wish you a SPLENDID DAY my dearest. I am outside enjoying pruning my boxwood hedges while TWO chunky little rabbits sit and watch me! teeeheee.......ENJOY! Anita
How beautifully you wrote your words down Sylvia! The photo's that accompany your words are magical. Are you sure you still need classes?!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!

ReplyDeleteI haven't had the best days either lately but there's so much beauty around us that I refuse to let those bad feelings take ahold of me one more day. I hope you are able to do the same.
Have a lovely weekend ~

ReplyDeleteSpring Showers never looked so good Slyvia! The simple beauty you capture with your lens never ceases to calm & soothe me! Enjoy your week :)
ReplyDeleteDearest Sylvia...how I would love to see your stunning photography and wisdom in a book someday...you are so gifted, my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt is those days that test our grace. And I so agree that there is nothing more purifying than a downpour...we see all with fresh eyes, and everything glistens with renewed hope.
I do hope that all is well with you, dear sister...
Thank you for gracing us with your beauty!
Love and hugs,
- Irina
GOod morning most beautiful friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting yesterday with kindness and sweetness. Blogging is SO FUN for us, isn't it? Whether it is fine photography, art or poetry or humor, many of us have found a niche to reside and create. I love it. But most of all, the connection with people is so valuable to me, so I thank you for your kind comments.
ENJOY THE DAY! Anita
I spent the day
ReplyDeletein the garden, today,
so am feeling ebullient
about nature and being
outside!
Everyone has "those" kind
of days....It is in picking ourselves
up and forging ahead that we
find the true US : )
Happy Day,
