While my friends watch the sunset over the horizon at Toronto, I watch the same sun rising on the other side of the world,
I am in the end of my vacation with my family crossing the beautiful, ancient land of my ancestors. I have captured a lot of images and I thought you would like me to share some of them. These are from a trip we took to the Bulgarian Northern Black Sea Coast.
Similar images with white and fine golden sandy beaches, colossal rocky headlands, calm water and natural dunes have always been an essential part of my childhood memories.
The echo of a distant tide comes willowing across the sand...
I know my son is already captivated by such natural beauty, rich history and unbeatable cultural allure. I hope he to inherit even a small part of the aesthetic value and the sense of beauty that this land and this sun had helped me to develop.
These are in my veins
and on days like these I feel so lucky to be myself.
Wishing you days of sunshine !

ReplyDeleteSylvia Dear!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I am so happy for you and your son to have had such a magical trip! Your photos are breathtaking, what a gorgeous place...
And indeed it is a small world we live in, can you believe, you and I were practically neighbors? I was born and spent my early childhood in Odessa. The images of the Black Sea are tugging at my heartstrings. Such beauty.
Thank you for sharing your special memories!
All the best to you, my Black Sea sister! :)
