                                                                                Expect LESS

I believe that our lives are made up of simple little moments which arrive UNEXPECTEDLY and
we must be fully aware not to miss them. We also should trust our lives for everything has a purpose.

Almost seven months ago, I was looking at my Facebook Homepage where Erica Bauermeister, the author of The School Of Essential Ingredients, posted a link to a blog HOME IS WHERE THE BOAT IS. Exploring the blog, I was simply amazed by the way books, food and photography cross their paths and become pure Art.  In fact, I've started regularly visiting the blog and taking joys in these delicious book reviews.
One day in January 201, imagine me like Julie from the movie ''Julia & Julie ", demonstratively declaring:  " I have thoughts! I can write a blog !'
... and I did it – having no clue what I was doing and having no expectation at all.

One cold morning, checking the comments on only my fourth post and, of course, visiting Home is Where the Boat Is, I  saw my name and the name of my new blog at Mary's blog !!!  I was winning her giveaway in celebration of her one year blogging anniversary. WOW! There were no words then, and there are no words today to express how I feel. You may say it is a coincidence, but I know it is not.

So,
Dear Mary, thank you for this wonderful gift.
Yesterday I received a package from Amazon with a book that has been on my wishlist for a long time:

................................

The next cold morning, while I was checking the comments on only my fourth post, I was notified that my blog had been featured on Kathy's blog A Delightsome Life.  She used the word '' Exquisite " to describe my efforts.
There were no words then, and there are no words today to express how honored I feel.
Dear Kathy, thank you very much!

....

Yesterday, on Valentine's Day,  I received the March issue of Country Living  Magazine (a subscriber for a long time ).  I can't find words to describe how surprised I was when I saw my name on page 10.

Well,
the whole story started during the Christmas time when inspired by the magazine, I made a simple Christmas decoration using scrabble tiles.  Happy with the outcome, I posted a picture on their Facebook page expecting nothing. A day later I had a letter from Ashley Womble,  the Web Editor of the magazine, saying that they love my version of the scrabble craft and want more info. I wrote a response,  and there you go, my letter is published in the magazine as they keep the right to use the picture.

I guess, what I am trying to say today is that Everything in Life Happens for a Reason.

There are no ordinary moments in Life.
Every single simple thing should be treated as a special moment, worthy of our full ATTENTION.

Don't overlook these simple joys in a effort to see what lies ahead.
I know,  it's not easy,  but we can try!
Expect less and you will be constantly surprised. At least, I am!

Give to others,  love and help those who cross your path and HAPPINESS will be your reward!
